DSC_0296Anderson Trojans Varsity Blows Out Stony Point Thanks To Big Fifth Inning.  The Trojans clinch the Bi-District Championship with this win.  In the next playoff, the Area Championship, Anderson meets Klein High School. The best out of three series begins this coming Friday, May 12th, 4pm, at the neutral site La Grange High School.  Visit trojanpride.net for all schedules and maps.

Five runs in the fifth inning led Anderson Trojans Varsity past Stony Point 8-2 on Saturday. Anderson Trojans Varsity’s big inning was driven by a triple by Jake Rugeley, a double by Kyle Brown, and a single by Zachary Blackburn.
Anderson Trojans Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Anderson Trojans Varsity.
In the bottom of the first inning, Stony Point tied things up at one. Stony Point scored one run when Castillo singled with zero outs in the first inning.
AndrewSP3Anderson Trojans Varsity took the lead for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth there was an error, scoring one run and there was an error, scoring one run.
Anderson Trojans Varsity scored five runs in the fifth inning. The big inning was thanks to a triple by Jake Rugeley, a double by Kyle Brown, and a single by Zachary Blackburn.
Peyton Zachry earned the win for Anderson Trojans Varsity. He pitched six innings, surrendering one run, four hits, and striking out five. Driskell took the loss for Stony Point. He tossed four and a third innings, surrendering six runs, four hits, and striking out six.
Blackburn, Andrew Mitchell, Rugeley, and Brown each drove in one run to lead Anderson Trojans Varsity.

Anderson Trojans Varsity Drops Game To Stony Point After Late Score

Anderson Trojans Varsity lost the lead late in a 2-1 defeat to Stony Point on Saturday. The game was tied at one with Stony Point batting in the bottom of the fifth when there was an error, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Stony Point pitchers struck out nine, while Anderson Trojans Varsity sat down eight
Stony Point took an early lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Apud-Martinez drove in one run when he singled.
Anderson Trojans Varsity knotted the game up at one in the top of the third inning. An error scored one run for Anderson Trojans Varsity.
Garza earned the win for Stony Point. He pitched seven innings, giving up one run, four hits, striking out nine, and walking one. Walker Sigman took the loss for Anderson Trojans Varsity. He tossed six innings, giving up two runs, five hits, striking out eight, and walking one.
Andre Jackson, Andrew Mitchell, Drew Blankenship, and Jake Rugeley each collected one hit to lead Anderson Trojans Varsity.

An early lead helped Anderson Trojans Varsity defeat Stony Point 8-1 on Friday. Anderson Trojans Varsity scored on a single by Ben Kurio in the first inning and a single by James Baran in the second inning.
Anderson Trojans Varsity took an early lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for Anderson Trojans Varsity.
Anderson Trojans Varsity scored three runs in the third inning. Anderson Trojans Varsity’s big inning was driven by a triple by James Baran and a single by Ben Kurio.
Joe Deitz earned the win for Anderson Trojans Varsity. He pitched seven innings, giving up one run, three hits, and striking out six. Carranza took the loss for Stony Point. He tossed three innings, giving up six runs, nine hits, and striking out four.
Anderson Trojans Varsity had 13 hits in the game. Baran, Jake Rugeley, Kyle Brown, Kurio, and Jacob Graves each collected multiple hits for Anderson Trojans Varsity. Rugeley and Baran each collected three hits to lead Anderson Trojans Varsity. Anderson Trojans Varsity stole seven bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Brown led the way with three.

The NFL Draft took place last week in Philadelphia. Held on the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, it was the first draft held entirely outdoors, and was the most attended in history with more than 250,000 people attending. Over three days, all 32 NFL teams chose players who they hope could be the future of their franchise.

Anderson Trojans Varsity Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over San Marcos clinching the 14-6A District Championship and sweet spot for Bi-District playoff.

Anderson Trojans Varsity grabbed an early lead on its way to a 13-1 victory over San Marcos on Saturday. Anderson Trojans Varsity scored on an error and an error in the first inning.
Anderson Trojans Varsity captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored three runs for Anderson Trojans Varsity.
Walker Sigman earned the win for Anderson Trojans Varsity. He tossed five innings, allowing one run, three hits, striking out seven, and walking one. J WILDER took the loss for San Marcos. He went one inning, allowing five runs, two hits, striking out two, and walking one.
Anderson Trojans Varsity collected 13 hits. Jake Rugeley, James Baran, and Zachary Blackburn each collected multiple hits for Anderson Trojans Varsity. Blackburn, Baran, and Rugeley all had three hits to lead Anderson Trojans Varsity. Anderson Trojans Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Rugeley had the most chances in the field with seven.

Two Pitchers Team Up As Anderson Trojans Varsity Shuts Out Del Valle.

Anderson Trojans Varsity defeated Del Valle 5-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Ben Caven struck out G ONTIVEROS to finish off the game.
Anderson Trojans Varsity scored four runs in the sixth inning. Anderson Trojans Varsity’s big inning was driven by a single by Ben Kurio, a error, and a single by Cole Ross.
One bright spot for Del Valle was a single by I SALAS in the fifth inning.
Peyton Zachry earned the win for Anderson Trojans Varsity. He tossed six innings, surrendering zero runs, one hit, and striking out 13. O ZAMORANO took the loss for Del Valle. He threw five and a third innings, allowing five runs, seven hits, striking out three, and walking one.
Zachary Blackburn, Jake Rugeley, Kurio, and Ross each drove in one run to lead Anderson Trojans Varsity.
