BOWIE HIGH SCHOOL—- The Anderson Trojans struggled to match up with the Bowie Bulldogs and fell 61-31.
The Trojans trailed 16-19 at the end of the first quarter but only scored 15 points in the final 3 quarters and could not stop Bowie defensively, giving up 42 over that span. The 31 points are a season low for the Trojans and the 61 points against are the most allowed in district play. Josh Wainwright led the Bulldogs with 10 points and Andrew Foster led the Trojans with 8.
The Trojans lose sole possession of 2nd place in the district with a 5-3 record. They are tied with Bowie and Austin High with 8 games remaining in district play. The Trojans head back home for a district home game against the Akins Eagles on Tuesday.
