Game Recap

WESTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL—- The Anderson Trojans fall to the Westlake Chaparrals 61-48 on the road.

Westlake guard Luke Pluymen’s 30 points proved too much for Anderson to overcome. The Trojans got off to a slow start on offense, shots just weren’t falling. Westlake on the other hand came out firing, scoring 20 points in the opening quarter including 3 3’s. Anderson scored 21 points in the first half, Westlake had 8 3’s that fueled 38 first half points. Colin Frame led the Trojans with 12 points in the game. The Trojans never seriously challenged the Westlake lead in the 61-48 loss, but continued to defend and battle. They forced Westlake into tough shots that the Chaps hit. Anderson showed plenty of fight all night. Fight that will be needed on Tuesday when the Trojans host Bowie with a playoff berth on the line.

The Trojans stand at 9-6 in district play. Its win and you’re in for the Trojans when they host the Bulldogs on Tuesday night.
